Objective: To carry out systematic literature measurement and visualization analysis on "traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of COVID 19 and other diseases", to explore the development status, research hotspots and cutting-edge trends of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of new coronary pneumonia and other diseases, and to provide research for the treatment of COVID 19 and other diseases by Chinese medicine. Methods: Citespace software was used to visually map the authors, institutions and keywords of 652 articles related to Chinese medicine treatment of epidemic diseases retrieved from the China Knowledge Network Database (CNKI), and to perform cluster analysis and emergence analysis on the keywords of the literature. Co-occurrence analysis of authors and institutions. Results: The relevant literature spanned from January 2003 to February 2020, and the number of publications peaked in 2003, 2009 and 2020.Keywords co-occurrence 9 high-frequency keywords with CB> 0.1. The cluster analysis obtained the main 10 clusters, consisting of 285 nodes and 602 lines. The main clustering results include recovery period; integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine; influenza A h1n1 influenza; infectious atypical pneumonia; COVID 19; five fortunes and six qi; etc .; emergence analysis revealed 8 emergent words. The development of COVID 19 and other disease diagnosis and treatment plans, as well as related research on the Five Games and Six Qi are the current hotspots. Conclusion: At present, the research of traditional Chinese medicine on epidemic diseases such as new coronary pneumonia has shown a gradual stage. The continuity of the research is insufficient, and there is also regional imbalance. The degree of cooperation between the author and the research institution is not high. Guided by clinical efficacy, it mainly focuses on the formulation of diagnosis and treatment schemes and the discussion of the etiology and pathogenesis. Future research on the prediction and prevention of epidemic diseases may be one of the hot topics.
