Objective: in view of the fact that the current epidemic situation of COVID-19 is spreading all over the world, and the number of infections continues to rise, in order to fully understand the current research situation and hot spots of COVID-19. Methods: the literatures related to COVID-19 published from January 2020 to March 2, 2020 were visually analyzed by CiteSpace and VOSviewer. Results: a total of 401 articles were included for visual analysis. the network analysis co-authored by the author indicates that the core author team in the research field has not yet been formed, but there are still four teams that are closely related to each other. The analysis of the network of research institutions suggests that there are cooperations between universities and hospitals, hospitals and hospitals, hospitals and enterprises, as well as cross-regional cooperations. Hubei Province is by far the place with the largest number of institutions and documents in the number of regional papers. Keyword visualization research shows that based on CiteSpace high-frequency keywords can be divided into five categories: common disease names, detection methods, traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment, western medicine diagnosis and treatment, information technology. Co-word cluster analysis based on VOSviewer can be divided into 8 clusters. Conclusion: the research focus of coronavirus pneumonia disease focuses on the naming, detection methods, diagnosis and treatment of novel coronavirus, and the application of information technology is becoming more and more prominent, which can provide corresponding support for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease timely and effectively.
