Objective: To study the antiatheroscloresis effects of the Fengjiaojiangzhifang on hyperlipidemia zebrafish by observing the Sum of light density of blood lipids, triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC) and blood velocity of the zebrafish after experiments. Methods: The hyperlipidemia model zerafish were randomly divided into model group, experimental group and control group. The Chinese medicine compound, Fengjiaojiangzhifang, and atorvastatin calcium were given respectively to the zebrafishes in experimental group and control group. After 48 hours, the results of oil red O staining and the Sum of light density of blood lipids in zebrafish tail were observed. Besides, the changes of TG, TC and blood velocity of zebrafish were measured. Results: The Fengjiaojiangzhifang could reduce the adhesion of oil red O staining in tail of the hyperlipidemia zebrafish, showing the antiatheroscloresis effects. This Chinese medicine compound also could reduce the level of serum TG (P<0.01); however, the level of serum TC could not be significantly dropped out (P>0.05). In addition, Fengjiaojiangzhifang had no significant effects on the blood velocity of the hyperlipidemia zebrafish (P>0.05). Conclusion: The Fengjiaojiangzhifang had the antiatheroscloresis effects on the hyperlipidemia zebrafish based on reducing the serum TG.
